Women's sufferage and Reform
Most women in the 1900 still looked after massive families and did household jobs.
Basically acted as housewives. Most women were barred from most professions and held only 15% of University degrees. Suffragists, all those fighting for the rights of women, wanted social reform. These people were members of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union (WCTU) fighting for prohibition. The were nick-named "maternal feminists”. The rigths of women were minimal and their chance for a full education and a proper occupation was nearly non existant until various groups rallied as maternal feministics leading women towards the rights they rightfully have today.
